Welcome to the official website for the new musical, GRACE.
After a rather notable career as an entrepreneur, film producer, philanthropist and sports entertainment mogul, Sheila C. Johnson (Hospitality Ambassador) set her sights on the world of hospitality—and she’s taken it by storm!
Sheila is Founder and CEO of Salamander Hotels & Resorts (SHR), which operates a collection of properties along the east coast and in the Caribbean. SHR includes the equestrian-inspired Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg, Virginia, which has been awarded the distinguished Forbes Five Star rating.
Sheila is also a partner and Vice Chairman of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which owns the WNBA 2019 World Champions Washington Mystics, NHL’s 2018 Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals, and the NBA’s Washington Wizards. Upon selling Black Entertainment Television (BET)—the cable TV network she co-founded, to Viacom she turned her attention to film production and has produced documentaries and films with social messages including the Screen Actors Guild nominated feature The Butler, directed by Lee Daniels. She is also founder and chair of the Middleburg Film Festival, an annual celebration of independent films.
A fervent supporter of the arts and accomplished violinist--now learning to play the cello, Sheila has set her sights on Broadway-bound theatrical productions, including GRACE.
